A total of 11 goals were scored in this epic back-and-forth matchup between the Lycans and The Pylons.
The deadly duo of #91 Jamie Monaghan and #9 Tom Phan scored an amazing 16 seconds apart to give the Lycans a quick 2-0 lead to open the game with each player assisting on the other's goal as well. The Lycans then made it a wide 3-0 gap by late in the first period with a goal from #68 Eddie Roe which was assisted by #5 John Hettle and #13 Pat Garrett.
The Pylons never quit though and needed just 43 seconds between the 1:45 mark and the 1:02 mark of the opening frame to get right back into it. The first was fired from #21 Garret Farkas helped by #93 Adam Frost while the second was from a sequential order combination of 9-10-11 in #9 Bryce Maschio with the assists from teammates #10 Stefan Jeanneau and #11 Dean Foster.
#11 Dean Foster continued off of that assist with a big goal early in the second period to even it all up at three apiece. #9 Bryce Maschio and #21 Garrett Farkas had the helpers.
The Lycans knew how to bounce back as well with a awesome high speed shorthanded breakaway goal by #23 Garrett Murray who was set up by #7 Mark Phan to take the lead once again at 4-3.
The Pylons #11 Dean Foster had just started though and then tallied his second goal of the game with 0:16 showing on the score clock to even up the score yet again at 4-4 heading into the all-important final period. Fellow Pylons #10 Stefan Jeanneau and #3 Chris Wong grabbed the helper points.
#91 Jamie Monaghan who started the scoring for the Lycans hit the back of the mesh one more time to open the third period to give his team back the lead at 5-4 with the setups coming from #9 Tom Phan and #36 Lucas Yu.
The Pylons #11 Dean Foster was not finished with his stat line yet though and then sniped his hat-trick goal on the powerplay which as set up on passes from #7 Mike Nealon and #3 Chris Wong.
With it all tied up at 5 apiece and the clocking winding down it looked like a shootout was going to be needed to decide this back-and-forth exciting match. However that was when #93 Adam Frost decided to take matters into his own hands and fired it into the back of the Lycans net during a mad scramble around the crease for the game winning goal for the Pylons. #3 Chris Wong tallied the game

The Pylons #14 Darren Morris wins the neutral zone draw and then corrals the puck into the attacking zone and fires a shot on net.
Appearing like Dominik Hasek with the Cooper SK2000 and TPS gear while playing like The Dominator too the Lycans goaltender #39 Garrett Murray makes a great pad save on the high flying #93 Adam Frost of The Pylons in the opening period.
The Pylons goalie #31 Duane Shuya makes a big stop on the always dangerous #23 Garrett Murray of the Lycans who was flying down the wing.
The Lycans #36 Lucas Yu controls the puck in his own end as #48 Taylor Pootz is in pursuit.
