Half Visor Friendly Reminder |

This is just a friendly reminder that all skaters are required to wear at least a half visor (as per our rules section, website registration section since registration begun, and preseason email to the team organizers). A full visor/cage with a mouth guard is highly recommended.
We have a grace period of the first 3 team games when this rule won't be enforced yet that is now over for most teams (the first 3 games for the team and not for the skater) however all skaters are still highly recommended to wear a full visor/cage with a mouth guard even during the grace period.
Please note that a half visor must be worn properly:
Hockey Canada Rule 3.6 Protective Equipment Situation 3 In cases where a players chin strap is not securely fastened, or the visor is not properly being worn, the Referee or Linesman shall remove the player(s) from the ice prior to the commencement of play. Only that player or players shall be allowed to be substituted. This same procedure would also apply concerning other items involving protective or dangerous equipment. (Example - sweater sleeves pulled up, exposing elbow pads.) Note: The proper wearing of a visor: The visor shall extend down to cover the eyes and the lower edge of the nose in frontal and lateral projections. |
