register your own team for the Weekend Divisions for the
upcoming CAHL 2023-2024 Season which will begin on Friday, September
29, 2023. The registration deadline is Wednesday, September
20, 2023. New teams are welcome to register as well. All you need are a few small groups of friends (teams have about 15 skaters and a goalie). |
-29-33 or more game season -28 regular season games and a guaranteed minimum of 1 playoff game (up to 5 or more playoff games) -All games are 1 hour and 15 minute ice times -100% weekend games on mostly Fridays or Saturdays (there may be some Sunday games at times of no later* than 9:45 PM) -No need to think about waking up early the next morning for work after your Friday or Saturday game (if working Monday to Friday) -Go out with your team after every Friday or Saturday game -Never have any games on any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday -Keep 100% of your weeknights free for yourself, your family, and your friends -About 1 or 2 games per weekend (there may be some bye weekends) -2 referees and a timekeeper per game -The regular referees complete the Hockey Canada Certification Clinic every year to be Hockey Canada Certified and have years of experience -The regular timekeepers have years of experience -The games** are primarily, if not all, at Edge School -Multiple divisions and realignment based on majority team voting (Rule 2-2) -Please click here and have all of your players read and thoroughly review the entire CAHL Rules section, including all of the Hockey Canada Rules, before your team registers and plays |
Weekend Divisions III-V*** for various skill and experience levels: Weekend Division III - Registration is Open -Played hockey for many years of your life at a competitive or recreational league level -e.g. 8-10 years minor hockey higher divisions (1/2/3) or recreational league higher divisions**** Weekend Division IV - Registration is Open -Played hockey for many years of your life at a competitive or recreational league level -e.g. 7-9 years minor hockey medium divisions (3/4/5) or recreational league medium divisions**** Weekend Division V - Registration is Open -Played hockey for many years of your life at a competitive or recreational league level -e.g. 6-8 years minor hockey lower divisions (5/6/7) or recreational league lower divisions**** |
*It is possible that the start of any game may be delayed by unforeseen problems such as, however not limited to, an ice resurfacer (Zamboni) malfunction, a player injury in the game before, the game before needs extra time, etc. **It is possible that there could be some games at other arenas. All of the games are scheduled within the range of Friday to Sunday and the Sunday games are scheduled at 9:45 PM or earlier, but there is no guarantee of how many games are at any specific times, how many games are on any specific playing nights, or how many games are at any specific times on any specific playing nights. The number of games at any specific times, how many games are on any specific playing nights, or how many games are at any specific times on any specific playing nights may vary among the teams and divisions. It is possible that the start of any game may be delayed by unforeseen problems such as, however not limited to, an ice resurfacer (Zamboni) malfunction, a player injury in the game before, the game before needs extra time, etc. ***The final total number and levels of divisions may vary and be different as it depends on the division preferences, the final total number of teams with preferences for the different levels of divisions and the final total number of teams that register. ****Skill levels are very difficult to describe without knowing the playing background of every player on every team and are only a very rough approximation and may greatly vary. There is no guarantee of parity or how often a team may win or lose, or what scores a team may win or lose by. |
