CALGARY, Alberta (CAHL) – The eighth-year Chargers (since 2016) went up against the 17th-year Rug Doctors (since 2007).

Liam McLeod wasted no time in getting the Chargers on the scoreboard, needing precisely 29 seconds after the opening puck drop to grasp a quick 1-0 edge off the feed of Thomas Gilman.

Adam Nixon, Liam McLeod, and Thomas Gilman then took the Chargers even further, to 4-0, before the first intermission, as Thomas Gilman, Anthony Leong, Mike Cyca, Adam Nixon, and Liam McLeod supplied the helpers.

In the second chapter, the Chargers doubled their lead to 8-0 as they assembled another four-score rally due to the sharpshooting of Adam Nixon, Craig Taylor, Thomas Gilman, and Liam McLeod, who scored his third goal to complete a hat trick. Andy Grubbe, Thomas Gilman, Michael MacLeod, Mike Cyca, Liam McLeod, and Adam Nixon were the playmakers.

Andy Grubbe and Dan Cyca added two more goals within a 33-second span in the last chapter to skate off the ice with a 10-0 Chargers' victory. Michael MacLeod and Jason Hegerfeldt provided the assists.

The first star was Jordan Myers, who denied 10 chances for the flawless shutout win for the Chargers. After the game, he praised his teammates, saying, "It was good. The team played well. We got a lot of goals. They made it pretty easy for me back there."

Thomas Gilman of the Chargers amassed an incredible six-point showing and was the second star.

Adam Nixon was the third star and gained an outstanding total of five points for the Chargers.

Liam McLeod of the Chargers had a superb five-point performance, including a hat trick, while Michael MacLeod tallied three admirable assists. Andy Grubbe, Mike Cyca, and Jason Hegerfeldt all possessed a strong two-point output.
