CALGARY, Alberta (CAHL) – This bout involved the 15th-year Brewstars (since 2009) and the 14th-year Timberwolves (since 2010).

Aiden Mucenski, a WHL Brandon Wheat Kings' alumnus, fired the first target-piercing shot with the assistance of Ryan Johnson and Kevin Stokvis to obtain a 1-0 edge for the Timberwolves.

Within a 16-second span, the Brewstars put on a stunning turnaround as Nolan MacDonell scored the equalizer before Caleb Barthel acquired a 2-1 lead. Oakley Werenka, who is a Northern Michigan University Wildcats' alumnus, and Sean Andreas provided their assistance.

Kevin Stokvis gave the Timberwolves a fresh start as he evened up the score at two-all in the second chapter.

Two minutes and twenty seconds later, Nolan MacDonell regained the Brewstars' high ground at 3-2 with the support of Jadan Barthel and Tom Schmidt.

The special weapons and tactics marksman, TJ Ruohio, rifled in the kinetic projectile to further strengthen the Brewstars' cause at 4-2 on the power play. Oakley Werenka and Caleb Barthel supplied the ammunition.

Just 1:02 apart, Mike Loptson and TJ Ruohio, with the backing of Oakley Werenka, Mike O'Brien, and Scott Condon, elevated the Brewstars to a 6-2 advantage to seize the victory.

The first star was the Brewstars' Nolan MacDonell, who notched a great two-goal showing, including the game winner.

Oakley Werenka of the Brewstars was the second star with an excellent total of four setups.

The Brewstars' netminder, Jared Powell, a Jr. B Calgary Northstars Canucks' alumnus, blocked 29 of the 31 attempts for a superb .935 save percentage in the win.

TJ Ruohio and Caleb Barthel both owned very good two-point displays for the Brewstars.

The Timberwolves' Kevin Stokvis had two strong points, while their goaltender, Sam Osman, made a colossal 36 stops.
